Hello again, everyone! As Impactasnap is gearing up for some big activations and partnerships, we figured, why not highlight one of our main goals: to create impact the same way we live our lives. One major issue our world is facing today is climate change, and it’s impacting every living being on the planet.
Carbon emissions are by far one of the main issues we face regarding climate change. The United States is so reliant on individual motorization, globalized trade and industrialization, with a constant push for oil extraction, persistent needs for precious minerals, and the list goes on. It can feel overwhelming to the individual, something known as climate anxiety. As a young person, our future looks uncertain and it can be scary at times, but having hope and making change is in our control. Without hope, there can be no change. Find ways to impact your local community, shop small, buy local, only buy what you need, ride a bike, take the train, plant a tree, call your local politicians, every little motion can make waves.
We were founded to give people a chance to make some positive change, supporting environmental restoration, humanitarian aid, and other community fundraisers. Our Giddy Group campaign pilot was designed to be an easy way to support environmental restoration and forestry programs in New England. Though small, we received 9 submissions for the campaign, meaning 9 people took a few minutes out of their day to do some good. With this, we can see huge potential for future campaigns and doing even greater good for our planet and people. We hope you find hope and promise in what we’re trying to do here at Impactasnap, and will tune in next week for some more inspiring stories.
